On Wednesday, October 26, 2022, the first meeting of the Monitoring Committee of the Cohesion Policy Programme “THALIA 2021-2027” was held in Paphos. The meeting was organized together with the meeting of the Monitoring Committee of the Cohesion Policy Programmes 2014-2020 and aimed to inform the Members of the Committees about the progress of the implementation of the Programmes.
The Directorate General Growth, Ministry of Finance, in collaboration with the Directorate General Development of Social Affairs and Integration of the European Commission, organized on October 26, 2022, at the Aliathon Resort hotel in Paphos, a presentation event to promote education and training opportunities for young people aged 15-29, provided through the European Social Fund+ (ESF+) within the framework of the Programme “THALEIA 2021-2027”.
The European Commissioner for Cohesion Policy and Reforms, Mrs. Eliza Ferreira, within the framework of her visit to Cyprus for the announcement of the approval of the new Cohesion Policy Programme “THALIA 2021-2027”, co-funded by the EU, held during the period 8-9 July 2022 on-site visits to projects of the Municipalities of Nicosia, Larnaca and Limassol, as well as to the Library of the University of Cyprus.
On July 8, 2022 a joint Press Conference of the European Commissioner of Cohesion and Reforms, Ms. Eliza Ferreira, and the Minister of Finance, Mr. Konstantinos Petridis, was held at the THOK building in Nicosia, for the presentation and approval of the Cohesion Policy Programme “THALIA 2021-2027”, which amounts to €1.8 bil. and is co-funded by the EU.
