On 19 and 20 October 2023, the 15th Meeting of the Transnational Network (TN) on Simplification of the European Commission’s Directorate-General for Regional and Urban Policy (DG REGIO) was held in Limassol. It was co-organised by the Treasury of the Republic of Cyprus and Directorate General Growth, Ministry of Finance, in cooperation with the European Commission.
The meeting was attended by 100 experts from 25 Member States, including Cyprus, as well as European Commission officials.
The aim of the meeting was to plan the next steps to simplify the Programmes co-funded by the EU Cohesion Policy Funds, drawing on the lessons learned from the previous and current programming periods.
The results of the two-day discussions will be subject to further processing and evaluation by the European Commission in view of their adoption.
It is noted that the meeting was co-funded by the EU, within the framework of the Cohesion Policy Programme “THALIA2021-2027”.
