Events

An event for Europe Day and the 20th anniversary of Cyprus’ accession to the EU was held on Saturday, 11 May 2024, at Limassol Seaside Park, with great success.

The event was organised by the European Commission Representation in Cyprus, the European Parliament Office in Cyprus and Limassol Municipality and included information stands from Embassies of EU Member States, European Programmes, as well as by European Parliament Ambassador Schools.

Directorate General Growth, Ministry of Finance, was present at the event with its own information stands on the Cohesion Policy Programme “THALIA2021-2027” and the Cyprus Recovery and Resilience Plan. 

During the event, the President of the Republic of Cyprus inaugurated a photo exhibition marking Cyprus’ 20 years in the EU. The exhibition presented, among others, projects aimed at improving the lives of citizens, implemented in Cyprus from 2004 to the present day,  co-funded by the EU Cohesion Policy Funds.

The event was followed by an artistic programme.
