Short Description/Objective 

The park on Gauguin Street is located in Zakaki and is a public garden in western Limassol. The aim of the park’s upgrade is to make it an attractive destination for residents of the area as well as for the entire city of Limassol. To achieve this, the park has been designed to be people-centered and accessible, while also contributing to the environmental upgrading of the area through the creation of green spaces.

The circular plaza constructed at the centre of the park serves as the main gathering and event space, while around it there are areas for exercise, relaxation, recreation, and wellness, as well as a playground. In addition, an open-air theater has been built for screenings and performances.

Expected Benefits/Outcomes

Beyond enriching and upgrading green spaces, the project is expected to create a sustainable, functional, and vibrant public area that will improve citizens’ quality of life.

Furthermore, the project will serve as a hub for social interaction and dialogue among local residents, wider social groups, and especially young people, thereby strengthening social cohesion.
