Short Description/Objective

The Scheme aims at the extensive energy upgrade of existing energy-efficient houses for the improvement of their energy performance, including the use of Renewable Energy Sources (RES), and covers exclusively investments for the purchase and installation of new equipment/materials.

The Scheme subsidises actions, such as counselling services, thermal isolation of the house ceiling, replacement of holes, installation of shading systems and installation/replacement of technical systems (e,g. solar and photovoltaic systems, air conditioning, storage batteries, automations, etc.).

Planning of Calls

The available budget of the Scheme (€85 mil.) is planned to be launched via two Calls for Proposals.

The first Call of the Scheme was launched during the period March 2021-August 2021 with a budget of €35 mil. The second Call was launched during the period May 2023-December 2023 with a total budget of €50 mil.

Expected Benefits/Outcomes

The Scheme is expected to bring an extensive energy upgrade to the existing building infrastructures, aiming at energy saving and ensuring thermal comfort to the house owners.
