The inauguration of the co-funded project “Creation of a Multifunctional Park in Tsiakkilero”, organized by Larnaca Municipality, took place today, 21/04/2026.
Among those attending the ceremony were the Minister of Interior, Mr. Konstantinos Ioannou, the Mayor of Larnaca, Mr. Andreas Vyras, members of the Larnaca Municipal Council and local authorities, as well as many citizens.
The project, with a total budget of €2.3 million, is being implemented within the framework of the Cohesion Policy Programme “THALIA2021–2027,” co-funded by the EU. It concerns the development of a multifunctional park covering an area of 9,000 sq. m., featuring green spaces and sports facilities, a playground, walking and cycling paths, a dog park, and a small open-air amphitheater. The aim of the project is to revitalize the urban environment and provide citizens with a space for walking, exercise, and recreation.
