On June 15, 2023 an information day on “EU Cohesion Policy: Opportunities for Businesses, Individuals and Local Authorities” was held in Nicosia, which was organized by the consortium of companies Aspon Consulting and Alpha Cyprus, in cooperation with the Directorate General Growth, Ministry of Finance, as the competent Administrative Authority for the Programmes co-financed by the Cohesion Policy Funds in Cyprus.
The information day was carried out within the framework of the Programme “Cohesion Policy Stands by You!” which is co-financed by the European Union and involves “Information measures relating to the EU Cohesion Policy” with partners from Cyprus, Greece and Spain.
Representatives of the European Commission, the Directorate General Growth and the competent Ministries, highlighted the importance of the EU Cohesion Policy, while informing citizens about the opportunities and available funds through the new Cohesion Policy Programme “THALIA 2021-2027”.
It was pointed out that, through the Cohesion Policy Funds, important projects were implemented, unemployment was reduced and crises were dealt with in our country. In addition, success stories of projects implemented with the support of funds, secured through the Cohesion Policy Programmes in Cyprus, were presented.
