Short Description/Objective

The Project includes the development, setup, configuration and implementation of a new information system that deals with cadastral and assessment functions for the Department of Lands and Surveys (DLS),which will replace and improve all the operations of the old existing system. The objective of the Project is the set-up of an integrated modern Land Information System with updated, enhanced and redesigned functions, designed in an efficient manner, in order to serve efficiently, seamlessly and reliably the operational processes of the DLS as well as the provision of services to all independent services of the wider public sector, other organisations and to the citizens.

Progress/Implementation Stage

The object of the Project will be implemented through three Contracts:

  1. Main Contract for the Upgrade/Expansion of the DLS

The tender was launched on 29/09/2021 (No. DLS2021/042/A/A) and it is currently being assessed. The Contract award is expected to take place in July 2024 while its completion is estimated to take place in September 2028.

  1. Contract for the Upgrading of the Infrastructure of the Online Platform “DLS Portal”

The tender was launched on 05/09/2022 (No.DLS2022/019/D/A) and awarded in February 2023. The completion of the Contract is expected to take place in July 2024.

  1. Contract for the Purchase of IT Services

The tender was launched on 01/12/2022(No. DLS2022/058/A/A) and awarded in June 2023.

The function of the new system will offer various benefits to citizens, organisations, professional ensembles, other services of the wider public sector and for the DLS itself.
