Meeting between Cyprus and Ireland regarding the EU Multiannual Financial Framework and Cohesion Policy issues

As part of the preparations for the upcoming Presidencies of Cyprus and Ireland in 2026, a meeting was held in Dublin on 21/10/2025 between senior officials of Directorate General Growth of the Ministry of Finance and the competent Ministry of Ireland for Public Investment. The discussion focused on issues related to the Multiannual Financial Framework (MFF) 2028–2034 and Cohesion Policy.

During the meeting, a strong convergence of views was noted on the importance and role that Cohesion Policy should play in the new MFF. On the sidelines of the meeting, the Irish Minister for Public Investment and Reform, Mr. Jack Chambers, had a brief and constructive exchange of views with the Cypriot delegation.
