Aiming to encourage creativity and active citizen participation in recognising and promoting projects co-funded by the European Union in Cyprus under the Cohesion Policy Programme “THALIA 2021–2027”, the Directorate General Growth (DGG), Ministry of Finance, is organising a Photo Contest titled “THALIA 2021–2027: Europe Through Your Lens”, which will run through the website www.thalia.com.cy.
Participation in the Contest is open to Cypriot citizens or permanent residents of Cyprus who are over 18 years old.
The Contest will run from 1 June 2025 (Launch of the Contest) until 15 July 2025 (End of the Contest) and will take place in two phases:
- Phase A – 1 June to 30 June 2025: Submission of photos by individuals interested in taking part in the Contest.
- Phase B – 1 July to 15 July 2025: The public will have the opportunity to vote for their favourite photo(s) among those published on the Website.
In order to ensure the reliability of the results, the voting procedure allows only one vote per user per photo, To cast a vote, users must enter their email address and phone number.
As part of the Phase A of the Contest, 3 prizes will be awarded to 3 winners (one prize per winner) whose photos will receive the highest number of votes.
The first winner of the Contest will win a Smartphone APPLE iPhone 16 Pro Max 256GB, the second winner a Drone DJI Flip Fly More Combo (DJI RC 2), and the third winner an Action Camera Insta360 X5 – Black.
Finally, during the Phase B of the Contest, users who took part in the voting process will automatically be entered into a draw to determine the lucky recipient of the 4th prize: a trip to Rome for 2.
