Press Conference on the Project “Flood-Protection Works in Greater Limassol”

On April 4, 2024 a press conference was held at the “Blue Economy Innovation Centre” of Limassol Municipality, on the occasion of the completion of the “Flood-Protection Works Project in Greater Limassol“, implemented by the Sewerage Board of Limassol – Amathus (SBLA).
The Project is of the utmost importance for the overall flood protection of greater Limassol and is expected to contribute substantially to the elimination of the city’s flooding problem.
The implementation of this Project was made possible thanks to the persistent and methodical efforts of SBLA and stakeholders involved.
The event was addressed by the President of SBLA, Mayor of Limassol Mr. Nikos Nicolaidis, followed by a presentation on the Project by the General Director of SBLA, Mr. Yiannis Tsouloftas.
The Project, with a total budget of €20 mil., is implemented under the Cohesion Policy Programme “THALIA2021-2027”, co-funded by the EU.
