BENEFICIARIES

Vulnerable social groups that face an increasing risk of poverty and social exclusion, i.e. Minimum Guaranteed Income (MGI) beneficiaries, recipients of provident benefits, families that face serious problems of material deprivation, single parents, including legal migrants, third country nationals, beneficiaries of international protection, etc.
In relation to the actions that deal with the confrontation of material shortage, the beneficiaries will be the families with infants, who are also the beneficiaries of MGI or Recipients of Public Assistance, or families that face serious problems of material shortage, according to the relevant report that would be prepared by the competent Officer of Social Welfare Services.
In relation to the actions that consercn the food provision, the beneficiaries will be children, selected by the Advisory Committee at each school unit, based on specific criteria that would be agreed and approved among the involved Ministry/Ministries, after a consultation between the concerned social partners, e.g.:
- Parents/Guardians of children that are recipients of the MGI or Public Assistance.
- Parents/Guardians of children that are unemployed.
- Orphan children that face financial difficulties.
- Children who belong to single-parent or large families with financial difficulties.
Children come from families that face financial difficulties/ their parents’ income is insufficient for other reasons, e.g. university students or soldiers, serious health issue.
