Project Selection Criteria

Under Article 73 of the Common Provisions Regulation (EU) 2021/1060, the Managing Authority of the “THALIA2021-2027” Programme is required to establish and apply criteria and procedures for the selection of projects to be co-funded by the EU 2021-2027 Cohesion Policy Funds, in order to ensure that the projects comply with the provisions of the Programme and the relevant strategies on which it is founded and contribute effectively to the achievement of the Programme’s objectives.

The aim is both to ensure transparency and equal treatment in the selection of projects and maximise the achievement of the Programme’s objectives and results.

In this context, the Managing Authority has prepared two separate documents:

(a) The methodology, stages and General Criteria for project selection,

(b) The project selection Specific Criteria for each of the selected Specific Objectives of the Programme.

The methodology and the project selection General Criteria, as well as the project selection Specific Criteria for each Specific Objective, have been approved by the Programme’s Monitoring Committee.
