Short Description/Objective

Home Care Services for People with Disabilities
Home Care Services for people with paraplegia and quadriplegia operates on a daily basis (seven days a week). Beneficiaries (Service Recipients) are provided with personal care and escort services. They also receive support services from Social Workers, a Psychologist and other Associates of related disciplines. Services are provided on a nationwide basis, with professionalism, confidentiality and respect, under the supervision of both the Supervisors and the Management of the Service.

Home Care services are offered nationwide and aims to reach a maximum number of people, covering as many needs as possible.

Offering Job Opportunities to the Unemployed
Services are provided through the employment of a large number of unemployed citizens who are recruited by the Care Service of the Cyprus Paraplegics Association and receive continuous training and guidance.

Utilisation of this support service by persons with disabilities to maximise their ability to participate equally in different areas of life, such as:

Creating a New Profession
The provision of appropriate training offered to Caregivers makes them experts in this field and thus contributes to the creation of a new profession in Cyprus. The aim is to regulate the profession at national level.
