Communication and Visibility

The communication and visibility of the projects and achievements of the Cohesion Policy Programme “THALIA 2021-2027” is a key priority and it is constitutionally provided in the Regulation (EU)2021/1060 (Articles 46-50 and Annex IX). It is a competence both at the level of Member-State/Managing Authority/Intermediate Bodies, as well as at the level of Beneficiaries/Implementing Bodies of the Programme’s projects.

For the co-funding projects and actions of the Programme “THALIA 2021-2027” a single signalling is used in all communication and visibility actions.  This will contribute to the increase of the projects recognition which are co-funded by the EU and the Republic of Cyprus, in the framework of the Programme “THALIA 2021-2027”, for the benefit of citizens.

The EU emblem along with the coat of Arms of the Republic of Cyprus, form the required signalling for the co-funded projects and actions of the Programme “THALIA 2021-2027”. As it is stated in the Regulation (EU) 1060/2021, the emblem of EU should always be combined with the statement “Along with the signalling of the European Union.”

Verbal Rreference to EU Co-financing

Verbal reference to the project co-funded by the EU shall be used in documents and communication material which involve the writing of text or where logos cannot be applied.

For the purpose of uniformity in the use of the verbal reference, the following phrase should be used:

The project is co-funded by the EU within the framework of the Cohesion Policy Programme “THALIA 2021-2027”.

Communication Guide

The DG Growth, within the framework of its responsibilities as the Managing Authority of the Cohesion Policy Programme “THALIA 2021-2027”, prepared a Communication Guide which is addressed to the Beneficiaries of projects which are co-funded by the EU, within the framework of the relevant Programme.

The objective of the Communication Guide is:

  • The codification of the responsibilities that the Beneficiaries of the Programme have in terms of communication, and
  • The support of Beneficiaries in relation to the correct implementation of these responsibilities.

It is noted that the electronic version of the Communication Guide includes useful links in various parts of the text, for ease of reading.

Supportive Tools from the EU

The European Union in order to help the Beneficiaries to comply with the minimum requirements of communication and visibility that are defined in the Regulation (EU) 2021/1060 and at the same time to contribute to the formation of a single visual identity across Europe, in what deals with the visibility of the co-funded projects, prepared:

  • The Online Generator tool through which the Beneficiaries can create plaques, billboards and posters for their projects by using common templates. With a few simple steps, this tool prepares ready-made PDF files for printing plaques, billboards and posters.
  • Βrand book with guidelines to the Beneficiaries to fulfil correctly and efficiently the requirements of communication and visibility.
