Strategic Environmental Impact Assessment (SEIA) of the “THALIA 2021-2027” Programme
The approval of the “THALIA 2021-2027” Programme by the European Commission was subject to the prior preparation of a Strategic Environmental Impact Assessment (SEIA), in accordance with Directive 2001/42/EU. This Directive was transposed into national law in 2005 with the Law on the Environmental Impact Assessment of Certain Plans and/or Programmes {L. 102(I)/2005}.
The main objective of the SEIA was to ensure a high level of environmental protection from the actions/projects to be implemented through the Programme, as well as the integration of environmental issues in its preparation.
The Directorate General Growth, as the Managing Authority of the “THALIA 2021-2027” Programme, launched a tender for the award of the preparation of the SEIA to specialised experts. The Contract, amounting to €15,900 plus VAT, was signed on 02/02/2021 with LA SOLAS SERVICES LTD and was completed in July 2022.
